July continues to be an enforced “rest” period for many.  I mentioned in my Minogue Times that July would be an assessment month–not a very productive month.  If you are frustrated with with where you are with your finances and outlook, keep in mind a few important ideas.

I am not a financial adviser so I can only give you opinions and beliefs based on the cycles and trends.  Here are a few:

Gold Looking Good

Due to the worldwide uncertainty, and as long as it stays this uncertain, gold will continue to climb.  Silver is its step sister so it could ride on its coat tails.  It would not surprise me to see gold pass 1800.  The Euro and the European market situation remains very precarious and fraught with problems.  Since both the dollar and Euro have so many problems, I would expect gold to continue to be the …

The Third Commandment–Thou Shalt Not Speak the Word of Lack

It is during times such as these where it is essential that we remember that we not take the Lord’s name in vain.  No, I am not talking about general cursing or “blasphemy”.  I am using the “Third Commandment” in such a way that we are continuously creating difficulties in our lives through making wrong use of the name of God.    This commentary is posted as a reminder during these seemingly difficult times that we must remember the Third Commandment–Thou shalt not speak the word of lack or limitation.

Those Who Forget History, Are Doomed to Repeat it.

The times we are living in have similar patterns of a prior period in the 1800’s.  Although no two period are exactly the same, it is worth noting the similarities of these periods and recognize the historical message trying to get across to the population.  America is revisiting several periods of her history, the period that led up to the American Revolution and the period that began in 1847.  Remember, numbers and cycles repeat themselves–just like our own behavior.

America was just coming out of a transit 1834 to December 1848, where Neptune transited through Aquarius.  During this period, America went through three economic recessions or depressions with bank closings, defaults on debt and periods of deflation.  It also marked a significant development in “revivalist” religious movements including the “Christadelphians” and the Morman migration to Utah.  Near the end of this period, we had the beginning of the great Irish …
