Looking at December

As we wind up 2014, we realize how much we have been tested and grown.  What a year!  The biggest events (besides the holidays) are the major sky changes that affect the entire planet.  The next to the last of the big squares that have been affecting us over the last 2 1/2 years occurs the first weekend of December.  This time it makes us revisit the 60’s and the racial tensions of that era.  We are seeing very similar behavior of the 60’s with police and race.  It also brings out wars not only in the Middle East but also conflicts of oil, the internet and even personal relationships.  It creates power struggles at home and abroad.  This is an important transit, Uranus squares Pluto (sudden, abrupt changes of Uranus challenges Pluto, god of the underworld of death and transformation) and changes us through almost unbearable change.  No doubt we all will have to personally adjust to individual changes in our lives.  Like it or not.  Change or be changed!

Later in December, Saturn in Scorpio, moves to the sign of Sagitarius for the next 3 years.  What a shift.  Things should feel lighter next year after heavy-handed Saturn make us eat our peas and carrots making us pay attention to spending since October, 2012.  These were not jolly times.  Going forward through 2017, you can expect the focus to be more optimistic.  The global politics should calm down.  There may be those who spout off fiery speeches but the actual war machine should start to diminish over the next 3 years.  In short, lots of grandstanding but more show than go.  You will be revisiting old lessons of your life from 1985 – 1988 (if you were here during that period).

Moving forward we can expect those who try to sell us “pop” philosophy workshops or guru-type programs will be revealed for who they are.  It just won’t work.  You can also expect a crackdown on corruption within religious organizations.  Look at organizations that hide under the “non-profit” label.  It is exposure time.

For all of us, we don’t shop until we drop.  We even cut back shopping on cyber-Monday and black Friday.  We have learned to be extremely disciplined over the last two years and buy what we need–like food, rent and medicine–rather than a pair of lovely shoes that we want but don’t need.  Continue being disciplined through the holidays as this transit is still with us until the end of the year.

Be ever so grateful for anything that works well in your life.  For example, if you can walk well, see well, think well, sleep well, wake up well, dress yourself, feed yourself, drive your car, hear friends talk, have a roof over your head and a comfortable bed to sleep in–you see where this is going.  Be grateful, be sooooo grateful!

Enjoy what you have rather than what you want and keep seeing the goal through your mind’s eye.  The world of appearance is tricky. We cannot see the invisible world but it is as close as your breath.  Remember you are always connected to the sacred and divine with every breath you take.  Breathe and keep breathing.  2015 is almost here.  Don’t forget to enjoy what is going on now.

Happy Holidays!
