The Importance of Your Name

Whether you love it or hate it, your name is more important than you realize.  It is your guiding

Choosing Your Birth Name-Serious Business

light, your invisible road map, your answer to your what and why and your greater understanding of your self.  If we only took the time to  study our names, we could save ourselves a great deal of time-wasting and live more skillful lives.

Every letter in your birth names  tells a story of your past life experiences.  Every letter represents a number.  By just noticing which numbers are missing or in excessive amounts in our names, we can understand what are our issues, our talents and our corrections.  We learn which vocations we will excel in and which ones will be harder.  We can say “no” more and mean it when our ego or others point us in the wrong direction.

We did not arrive on this earth without a compass and a map.  We just didn’t know we had one.  It takes time to unfold a life.  Normally at least 50 years.  Instead we continue to travel on man made time frames rather than our own individual programming.  Most people are completely  oblivious about their own names and the plan attached to it.

It is likewise important to remember than your name is chosen by you–not your parents.  It is impressed upon your parents’ subconscious to give to you at birth.  This enables you to work with your plan right from the beginning.  All parents should learn about the importance of their child’s name and assist the child to live according to his or her plan.  Parents invest more in sports, camp, clothes, trips and incidentals than in the child’s own guidance system.  They are completely in the dark.  They can be so instrumental in encouraging their child in the best and highest good of the child rather than the superficial activities of current society.

“Each one of us has a unique plan, a blueprint that we created before we came in.  This plan was lovingly and carefully put together so that we could gain the knowledge and wisdom for our Soul’s growth while we are here.  This plan is so important to the individual that without knowledge of it, the Soul may have a difficult task in fulfilling its true purpose.  We have heard the expression “your days are numbered”.  It is taken from the Bible.  It means you are marked, coded and numbered with a plan.”  from “Divine Design–How You Created the Life You Are Living”,  Academy Road Teachings, Gail Minogue

Dear Gail , thank you so much! You’ve helped me a lot! And I would appreciate if you could explain about this: my oldest son was first named with three names which I chose… but when he was 3 year old I married formally and then I decided to put one more last name in his name – the one from my husband’s family. So , this last name I put afterwards must be left out when studying his name according to numerology ?

I will write more on the squares that last until the spring of 2015.

Regarding birth names, you can modify and call yourself anything you like. You will, still, be working with the original name. It is created prior to birth and is your programming. People try all the time to change their lives by changing their names. You can use another name but the plan keeps right on going along.

    Dear Gail,

Thank you for your info regarding the next 18 days and the next Mercury retrograde. I for one really appreciate this useful information – helps me get my act together. How will the “7 major squares” affect us?

Regarding birth names: How does use of a modified birth name affect one (e.g., Elizabeth called Beth or Liz)? If we change/modify our birth name does it change the way we live our lives or what we draw to us in life?

Thank you – numerology is so interesting!
    Elizabeth
