Update on the Elections

I had anticipated writing about the candidates at the start of this month but have decided to deliver the information in a few weeks as we are still involved with the convention and more information is coming out each day. Stay tuned in this area.

As of this writing, we have decided the Vice Presidential candidates. It is an interesting point to note that Joseph Biden, the Democratic nominee for Vice President has the same Life Path number as Obama, McCain and Michele Obama. It is my belief that this cast of characters has been together before (other lives) and has a distinct role to play in the future and direction of the United States. All four of them are the Master Number 11 which is a strong, inspirational number and is the same numeric vibration for the word "light". Notice that we had the historic event in New York on the 11th day. Other well known leaders with this same Master Number 11 are Clinton, Reagan, Gore and Colin Powell. Jimmy Carter has an 11 Destiny.

Our latest addition, Sarah Palin, is also a Master Number, 33, the same number as our current president, George Bush. They have many similar qualities. There is a somewhat Messianic quality about this number. A strong impulse to take care of the flock. 33's love to think they know what is best for you. I definitely will include her chart for you as well. Cindy McCain is another Master Number, the number 44. She is the leader and business person, no doubt about it. Sarah Palin aspires to become the leader and is extremely ambitious. Also note that she is born on the 11th day of February, 1964. She has some of the same 11 quality. Why was she chosen? To gain the evangelical vote for McCain. Remember, if you don't get elected, it doesn't matter how great your ideas and policies are. They key is to get elected. He believes that he must have this group's vote or he will loose. Voila, Sarah Palin. It has nothing to do with qualifications to lead; it has everything to do with just getting elected. The candidates all reek of charisma in their own fashion. Nobody is boring in this group. That is why this election is so fascinating.

It is such an interesting mix. Biden, Obama, McCain and Michelle Obama and then these totally left-field individuals of Palin and Cindy McCain. The strange thing is that Biden, Obama, McCain and Michelle Obama, if they worked together, would get some incredible things accomplished for the country. All in all, the mix of people is very strong. I think the election is unique and very important. This is the election that leads to the critical election of 2012 when a long-term trend is set up for the United States. I also think that the Election Day itself will be somewhat challenging. It could be a fairly volatile day.

The 9th Month of the Year — September

We are winding down the year. This is actually the ending month, number 9. Nine always completes itself. After that, all numbers repeat such as 10 (October) being a continuation of the 1 energy. Nine is the number of high achievement and an excellent time to look at what you really need to complete and clean up in 2008. The days are shorter and we are preparing and harvesting what we have been working on all of 2008. Even the Bible quotes an application to the strength of this number from the Book of Acts 3:1 "Now Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer, being the ninth hour." You can almost anticipate the end and that something will take place once this period is over.

How to use this month wisely? Assess what you are doing and complete all loose ends hanging out there. They are draining your energy anyway. Be very charitable this month. It is a humanitarian month so it goes well with your Karmic Bank account ledger. Beautify your home, office and any personal space. Nine is the number of beauty and creativity. To again quote Michael Schreiber in his wonderful book, "A Beginner's Guide to Constructing the Universe", "The Greeks honored nine muses who personified and inspired the full range of the arts and sciences of humankind. As if to marvel at the results of their efforts, we accumulate them in museums. To be amused once meant to be under the sway of the muses." Enjoy completing, beautifying and being charitable.

Another note regarding September. We have a Retrograde Mercury about to begin on September 25th. I urge you to get your most important work done by the 15th if possible. From September 25th until October 15th, try not to sign contracts, buy new computers or cars or any major appliance. This goes for making offers on houses as well. Wait, if you can, until about a week after the 15th or the 22nd of October to take actions in these areas. Double check all your messages during this acute period. This goes for job interviews as well.

Economic Trends for Today

The news continues to be turbulent. As of this writing, gasoline prices are dropping — along with the home prices. It is my belief that we need to be conservative with our lives for another three years. I anticipate more real estate moaning and groaning well into 2009 as the "Option Arm" loans begin to adjust. There are bargains to be had in buying a home now if you can find a lender who will make a sensible loan. Private groups are filling the hole of the lenders and people are pooling their retirement funds and stock funds as lending vehicles. You may be able to find private monies to finance your purchase. Be creative.

Back in 1986 we had the Resolution Trust created by the government to dispose of banks and real estate that had crashed. I wouldn't be surprised if some similar vehicle is created to sell off the foreclosed homes. I would look for this creation to be offered sometime in 2009 or perhaps in 2010. HUD was involved in overseeing these pieces of property back in 1986. My guess is a new agency will be created to do this. There is always some positive action in a downturn.

The next bubble on the horizon to go pop is the "credit card" bubble. This is in the process right now of going pop. Americans have been subsidizing their standard of living through credit cards. These will be made more restrictive either through changing the limits on the cards, higher fees etc. Depending on the election winner, credit card debt will be put under the spotlight next year as is the "housing market" this year.

Not a lot of bliss and joy but the great part is we are waking up to a dream and an illusion of what we thought was important and how we went about achieving it. Nothing like the "sunshine" to shed "light on an area". America will become wiser once it realizes what it has "bought into". I have always said we are basically a country that can reinvent itself more easily than other countries. We are about to do just that.
