1)The Number 6 month of the Year

June is considered to be the month of love and domestic responsibilities. The word six and sex are very similar in sound and spelling. So says writer Dusty Bunker in her great book "Numerology, Astrology & Dreams". It was on the 6th "ay" that woman and man were created. In the Tarot deck of divination cards, Key 6 is called The Lovers. This is the month of love. Do you remember during the 60's we had peace movements and love-ins? This was the time of the birth control pill, ushered in during the early 60's and revolutionizing women's right to choose. The vast changes in the domestic and family structure began to change as a result of the advent to the birth control pill. The rest is history. Since this is the month of love, it is also the month of most marriages in the United States.

Working with the number is 6 is so very fascinating. After the sexual and freedom loving number of 5, the number six represents the union of opposites. "To control nature one must have control of the senses and the creative combining of opposites" At the dawn of Christianity the pentagram or 5-pointed star and the hexagram or 6-pointed star became associated with evil forces primarily because "they were associated primarily with sexuality and the Great Mother". Since the female was considered to be the adversary of the Christian Church, who honored the Great Father, the rest is pretty much history. Actually early pictures of the church show the Devil as female with bare breasts and horns. The pentagram (#5) or the hexagram (#6) was worn on her forehead. To the patriarchal church, evil was embodied as female. They even named Hell after the Goddess Hel.

It's all quite nutty when you think about, how much of society is still under the same misguided information. Today we think of the devil as a he. It couldn't be considered by a patriarchal society that God's adversary could be a she.

2)Presidential Candidate Fred Dalton Thompson

Our featured candidate this month was born on August 19, 1962. Oddly enough he is born on the same day and month as Bill Clinton. There is some unusual karmic debt to be paid in this lifetime on the abuse of power. How or when this is or has been played out I do not know. We do know what happened to Bill Clinton.

I am bringing Fred Thompson into the picture because at this writing date he appears he is entering the ring and with much fanfare. I love the fact that he is an actor. Perhaps a more honest profession than political office. It is a strange twist of fate sort of like life imitating art.

Fred loves, repeat loves, the actor role. He probably wound up in the right career, playing in Law and Order. His destiny is the number three, or the creative expression. He loves to speak and write.

Here is the bottom line. His blueprint shows he has had many lifetimes on earth. Nothing fazes him too much. He is pretty philosophical about most things and is definitely a care taker. He is the person who I know would bail me out of jail and give me a ride home. He cares about family, friends and needs to be needed. He did not come in loaded with baggage. That's a relief. The bonus here is that he is smart. I don't think it is easy to lie to him. The oddity in his chart has a childhood issue that shows he is very afraid of looking stupid or that he doesn't know what he is talking about. If taken to the extreme, it could keep him in the mode of "I know it" and it would be hard to tell him anything.

I believe he is a thinker. The dark side is he can brood and hold a grudge. He needs to lighten up on himself and on others. He is a hard worker and very good in debating. There is an unfavorably position in his chart that has to do with his relationship with his mother. I don't know how that affects him with women.

Although there is this strong conservative direction in his chart, I question whether or not he could really carry that through in office. The bottom line is I believe he has a very good chance as a front runner for his party's nomination. He is going to do so well with the audiences and with the camera. The real secret is I think he'd be just as happy if he could make movies and television work. He has a loner side to him and the oval office will hardly allow it. I like the man but that doesn't mean I would vote for him. I just like his chart.

3)View From The Freeway

I have a dear friend in Chicago, Rev. Richard Billings. We have some very interesting talks and recently he was talking about all the people who come to him with a similar pattern, they talk about wealth and poverty and expect prosperity. My goodness, is this a truism or what? How many times have I done the same. I bring this to mind as I think it is helpful for all of to remember that we need to pay attention to what we pay attention to.

I know the rich get richer and the poor get poorer - due to what they pay attention to - so why would it be any different for you or for me? The next time you are out there worrying about your bills and the lack of money to pay them, remember that what you focus on you will receive more of the same. Concentrate on the solutions not on the problems. Solution-creating-minds are more prosperous, more peaceful and certainly have more fun time. Brian Tracy, the great mentor/coach/motivating speaker, suggests that the word problem is a negative word and to replace it by the word "situation" or "challenge". I have a situation sounds so much better than the word problem. I hope this helps you to solve your "challenge".

Until next month,

Keep trusting yourself,

— Gail
