The 10th Month - October

The 10th month focuses on "the Point". The number one is considered the "point" number. The point wants your concentration. It wants you to focus your awareness and center yourself. People will speak of "making my point" or "the point is". To focus on your point, you must detach yourself from distractions so that you can give your all to the "point at hand". In addition to your making your point, the "number one" demands a decision. Where are you going to point your direction? How will you get there? What will take you there? This 10th month is asking all of us get out of our ruts and point ourselves in a new direction and in doing so we remain focused.

The zero in the number 10 represents the circle and the womb of creation, the Cosmic Egg in which the Universe was conceived and in which it was born. In the circle we have all creation. All symbols, therefore, live in the zero. For more information on the mystic side of numbers, I suggest the book "Numerology, Astrology and Dreams" by Dusty Bunker. Look at this month as an opportunity to point ourselves in a new direction within a creative environment. It is a starting month. Do not waste this opportunity!

What is the significance of the number "2" and the year 2000?

Answer:

The number two is considered a "feminine" number in its true essence. The qualities of this number are receptivity, cooperation, intuition, persuasion, interdependence and patience. When the world society left the previous period of the number one - 1000 to 1999 - we began to leave behind the energy of that number. A few characteristics of the number one are independence, force, willfulness and a male dominance. Whether we recognize it or not, the world's issues are now focusing more on the female, cooperation, patience etc. Since we are in only the first few years of this energy, we cannot expect an immediate balancing from a thousand years of the number one.

The importance of this change to the number two cannot be marginalized. All societies are waking up either by choice or by circumstance to include and acknowledge the female part of societies. This is a long process but a forward one. Many parts of the world have not even considered the female to be a serious player on the world stage. The number two essence will grow and gradually awaken all parts of the globe. You are seeing more and more of it in the United States and it will spread into parts of the world that seemed hopelessly stuck in a thousand years ago. The female will also begin to take herself seriously, gender specific language will change (such as God as a male and a "he", business language such as "man that post") and societies that do not include the female on equal footing will diminish in power and recognition. It seems so far from where we are today but give it another 991 years and you will see.

"The dogs are not barking yet". The question is why and the answer is we have not had enough wrong headed thinking and behavior by those in power to make us truly take action to change the system. When will we get off our couches, church pews, mosque and temple centers of teachings, desk chairs and say Eureka! Change comes from within and if anything is going to initiate positive change for all of us, WE are going to have to do it.

We behave as if we have been lulled to sleep by platitudes, self-deception and a sense of powerlessness by the great powers of government, finance and politics. Sending out a bunch of emails, blogging to death, twittering regularly is a false sense of action. Where are we headed with this type of thinking? It appears as lots of heat but little light. Screaming at each other in goofy town hall meetings makes for great theater on CNNN, MSNBC, FOX and all but it does little to create the change we need so badly.

I encourage all of you out there to please get involved in small groups to discuss and share information. Appoint someone in your group to research the truth about bills that are up for passage and regulations that are going to affect your lives. Make it a social event, serve goodies, make it relevant and get informed. Your quality of life depends upon laws and regulations being considered and passed by your governing bodies. Stop watching from the sidelines, get educated and get involved. People love social events, make it that but for a purpose. It seems to me most New Age groups focus on prosperity, life purpose, world peace and right relationship. There is nothing wrong with that but what about old-fashioned civics and the "social contract" of our society? What and who are the people in power that will affect us? Why are we ignoring this? It has nothing to do with being a democrat, republican or independent. It has everything to do with "government of the people and by the people". Special emphasis is by the people.

We are truly in a repeat of the cycle birthed just prior to the American Revolution back in the 1770's. We have not had this cycle reoccur since that time. For the next 15 years we will be modifying the government and the financial institutions. What a great opportunity! I am so excited to know that we are exposing wrong doing and that we are beginning to realize that the inmates have been running the asylum for several years. But now what? Do we wring our hands or do we become active in improving the social contract.

Beginning later in 2011 we will enter a seven year period of more vocal (noise) sounds regarding the current inequities. It is my feeling that the "sit on the couch" crowd will stir and have had enough of increased fees, fines, decreased services, decreased tax deductions, scandals, fraud, greed and ineptitude in our government and financial institutions. A great many of the sacred cows will be exposed. This includes large pension plans that governments cannot afford to give their employees. As I say, the whole system is up for review.

If we go back in time to the last Revolution, we learn that the seeds of it were growing for years before the Declaration of Independence. There were all kinds of unfair taxation schemes by King George and his "regulators". Money for commercial purposes, such as business loans, became very scarce; more and more items became taxed. At that time there was great polarization within the country itself between those who were loyal to the Crown and those who would join the militias. It took great courage to declare independence. It took strong individuals who risked their lives to birth this nation. This is the same energy that is stirring at this time.

I do not see any leaders on the horizon - yet. Unless President Obama begins to exhibit a stronger leadership in key areas, I do not know if he will be reelected in 2012. That is how serious this period is. I have always said that the big leader to look for will have a number five life path. That means her or his date of birth will total and reduce to the number 5. Watch for this.

Remember that we are still in a world renaissance and have another 30 or so years left. It began prior to America's birth and has ushered in enormous improvements for humanity. The progress will continue but corrections and modifications are part of the renaissance.

Some of the things to remember during this period:

You are your own money source - not a job or a financial account. Your ideas are worthy of attention. Pay attention to them.
If you are unemployed, take just about any job that is legal and not harmful. It puts you in the flow and sends an unspoken message to the universe that you are always receiving.
Do everything you can to help yourself and then let go. Let go joyfully! Surrender the burden of "fixing" everything. You can't anyway.
Always stay in the consciousness of receptivity. It will attract.
Allow yourself to be served. Stop trying to repair others, fix their problems, rescue them while denying your own personal needs. Many folks in nursing homes are put into a forced position of being served. Learn it early. Love to be served while you are of service to others.
Be willing to move! Ouch, that one is painful. There are jobs out there but they may not be in your neck of the woods. Think of what strategy you need to use to continue receiving. It might mean a move and packing up your things or perhaps renting out your home.
See everything with a longer-term view. Stop thinking things will be fixed in a certain period of time. Right now time is fluid.
Many people are starting new businesses now. If you are one of them, choose carefully. You are investing your energy, time and money - don't spend these, invest them. If you are doing a network marketing or multi-level sales opportunity, be very careful. Read the Los Angeles Times article on this. The industry swelled 47% in the last 10 years but sales grew by just 21% over the same period. The Times says that as unemployment rises more Americans are selling these products to family and friends. Check the pitfalls and "Seller beware" article in Sunday, October 4th Los Angeles Times. "Hard Knocks in Direct Sales".
Read "The End of Work" written by Jeremy Rifkin. It was written in 1995 and shows you the present time and what jobs are being eliminated for good. Do not retrain for jobs that will not be here in the future.

Overall we must understand that a great social transformation is taking place. We are part of this. We do not need to fear it. We can lower our resistance to starting over, recreating ourselves and birthing ourselves to a new life.
