MONTHLY MEMO

The 7th month of the year

The number seven from ancient times has always been considered a source of fascination and awe. Both 7's and 3's are considered the lucky numbers and these two numbers are chosen the most when asked to tell your lucky numbers. The number seven comprises a whole and complete unit. The soil rests in the 7th year, we rest on the 7th day. Even though the concept of weekday and weekend grew out of the Industrial Revolution in the United States, there is something more going on with the rhythm of the seven days. It is a familiar cycle. It is the number of the higher mind and the intellect. It has great mystical power and is continuously used in the cycle of 7. Examples are "Seven Habits of Highly Effective People", "Seven Spiritual Laws of Success." Both of these have been best selling books. Also there is the infamous "7 year itch".

We here in America devote the 7th month of July to the start of our vacation period. We should actually be calling it our "rest" month. Within itself is the energy of restoration and reflection of the past year. In many ways, we are completing plans started in the 1st month of January. The entire completion is in the 9th month of September. It is both wise and prudent to see July as a time of rest, play, reflection, planning and restoration of oneself. People seem to go away in this month. This is a "waiting" month. We learn to wait in this month. Don't push things this month. We just allow and surrender to the energy that wants us to relax, flow, and restore. You can go all out again next month in August, the 8th month of harvest.

View From the Freeway

There is a great deal of commentary and hand wringing going on right.now Whether it is the economy, the war, the environment, the health care, the government and the housing market, the news seems to be continuously frightening.

We are in a large transition period of leaving an old way of operating our society and moving towards a new structure. We are developing it as we move along. So much of our own excesses of the past in eating, driving, buying, building and financing have come to an almost screeching halt. Money has tightened up, public transportation is increasing, builders are in a bind — you get the picture.

We are being groomed for a different and better way of living our lives. The transition is not so pretty. It definitely is not so much fun and yet people are really stepping up to the plate. I hear more and more stories of people who are being very innovative in creating income for themselves. People are starting to pay attention to what they are putting in their mouths. They are starting to pay attention to what they buy. Is it needed or just wanted? Reusing items is getting more popular. E-bay sales and Craig's List are loading up from people selling off their items. How did we accumulate all this stuff? In a way it can be refreshing to lighten up our "load". We are realizing how we have done things in the past and question our own sanity in creating the wardrobe full of unworn items.

Can you continue to use your internal wisdom to give you the answers to your own questions? Where do I move? What kind of work should I be doing now? Be innovative, creative and blaze a new trail for yourself. Why are you still staying in the same box you have been in for so many years?

Long ago I read and reread Georgiana Tree West's book "The 10 Commandments of Prosperity". She speaks about the senior partner and the junior partners of a business. She gives the name "senior" partner to the Supreme Being, God, and Divine Intelligence etc. She gives the name "junior" partner to all the lesser entities who derive their energy from the senior partner. These can be the Enron's, Wal-Marts, and Starbucks of the world.

Now the junior partners can constantly change or even go out of the business. The "senior" partner never goes out of business and continues to source to all the junior partners. You get to choose which junior partner you want to hook up with or create one yourself — such as your own business. Never mistake the difference in the partners. Junior partners come and go. Governments can also be seen as junior partners. If you can remember where and what the source really is, you will always know there is this untapped force of energy, constantly streaming out to you. You get to dictate through your choices which one it will come through. If one or more go out of business, you can choose again. Stay away from fear if a company downsizes or goes bankrupt. I have experienced this and had automatic deposits bounce because the company had no money. It was quite an experience but if you know that the Source is still sourcing you, get yourself in line with another conduit. Always look at the solutions and not the problems.

Remember, your God-given gifts are "ideas". Get your idea machine going and think on paper as to all the things you can create with your talents. Use your mind to attract to you what you want in an "easily and effortlessly" way "under grace". Trust you have the answers and don't have to go outside yourself creating more doubt and worry.

Create a good system for yourself in each area of your life. If you don't have any systems, create them. All relationships, households, businesses etc. operate with systems. Some of them are not very good. Improve upon them and change your life for the better when you do. Stop trying to have a balanced life. Instead just have a balanced day. You will then be able to create a balanced life.

Until next month,

Keep trusting yourself,

— Gail
